The Studio

Christine has a Studio to display her work which started as a clean space for visitors that often called in to view her work, this grew organically and Christine started to exhibit work from other artists (though only things she’d like to take home!) this created a space full of beautiful quirkiness that brings a smile to the faces of those who visit…

Other artists on display

Nicky Lichfield

Nicky is an award winning artist based in Lancashire. Her beautiful paintings capture the true essence of her animal subjects and her genuine affection for them.

As a child her weekends and summers were spent at her grandparents farm and it was there that her lifelong love of animals began. Traditional subject matter such as dogs, horses and livestock continue to be at the heart of Nicky’s paintings which she produces predominantly in oil and pastel.

Mark Smith

All Marks work draws inspiration from the sea, and each piece has its own story to tell.

When I produce a piece it becomes a narrative, the tale of a journey. Objects discovered on the shoreline find themselves becoming part of the story…I use a variety of decoration techniques as my ideas continue to flow and move on to create different avenues and new approaches. Ships, boats, and wrecks are the main fabric of the work, made from clay that has the textures of metal and wood objects salvaged, press moulded, and patched together to produce a variety of forms that look as though they have sailed the Seven Seas.

Simon Shaw

Simon started his workshop up in Liverpoolin 1997 where he throws and extrudes clay, and then adapts pots made of heavily grogged stoneware clay.
He uses a barium based glazes that acts somewhat unpredictably. However, they always end up between pale blue and rich mauve. Lumps of glass enhance these blue wonderpots with liquid drips. These are real potters pots – so all of you out there that collect pottery need to come in and hold these – ‘cos they will make you say WOW!

Julie Langan

Julie Langan Glass is an inspirational contemporary design studio who specialise in the creation of unique and innovative pieces of glass art.  The pieces usually in the form of panels can be integrated into both interior and exterior architectural spaces or simply displayed as individual pieces of art.

Martin Norman

My sculptures are of an illustrative style and I exaggerate parts to create character and give each piece a personality. I sculpt for myself and hope others appreciate and ultimately make the viewer smile. I have always been interested in the use of movement within sculpture and have created a range of water features that compliment my other work.
